Dear all,

Just found this auction, it will be today at 2 PM

The patina of the radium is weird. t
The chrono big hand looks like it's been swapped and some parts of the movement don't look original.

The case and the dial are looking great nonetheless.

Can't wait to see the results.

Best regards,

Hey,

chrono hands and movement looks good for me, but the lume is shot. It sometimes happens to Radium lume, that thrugh moisture or other external influences the color changes. Also this kind of way to very dark. Its an easy fix, but as it not very attractive. So maybe someone can snatch a steal.

Nico

edit: now I guess I know what you meant with the chrono hand. Color is wrong. true, but we have seen these variation of the MK1a hand also in the MK1b batch from time to time. Wouldnt rule out its correct.

Does that price indicate to you the market/value is declining? I would have expected a little higher even with the concerns. That said, I realize auctions are always tricky to use for market valuation.

With that dial condition (or what you can see at these shitty pics) I would have expected way less, around the lower estimate at the hammer.

The dial does not look that bad to me but you are likely more discriminating. I see many radium watches with grey lume. I don't mind it on that color scheme but taste is a matter of.taste as they say!

Good morning everyone.
The Mark 1B made € 5'500 at the hammer which means €6875,- to me. Low price, and good for me, also because the Auction House is little known. When I have it in hand I will send you new photos.
Best regards
Marco from Switzerland
