It's sometimes the only way to get parts together for an Enicar. I'm always keeping my eye open for a bitsa guide or jet so I can get an 1146 movement.
Would be good to see your guide when you fit the bezel.
The AR1146 has many common parts with the AR1145. I had my Super Dive (AR1145) serviced a couple of years ago and it has an amplitude between 240 and 276 depending on orientation. It keeps very good time.
Be aware that parts for these movements can be hard to come by so if you're in any doubt...
I bought one of these some time ago. I thought the gear in my Super Dive might break during service, but fortunately it didn't. I'm not sure about the suitability for a Sherpa as I never fitted it, but it does fit the crown thread.
I'll be using mine to repair a twin-crown Squale I have that...
Thanks for posting this. I have a recommendation for service in Australia. I had my Sherpa Super Dive serviced by Horologist in central Sydney https://www.horologist.com.au/.
I supplied a NOS mainspring and crystal. The watch had probably been sitting in a drawer for many years when I bought it...
I should add that I set it at -14/-1 seconds per day on the Timegrapher. Real world use was working from my home office, daily walk or jog, and spending the night on my bedside table dial up. I was surprised by the accuracy/
Couldn't find a recent WRUW so I thought I'd share this pic of a watch I'm about to take off. I strapped this Sherpa Dive on in early March, and due to the travel bans and lockdowns I had no real reason to change it (no foreign travel or hotel gyms, no swimming as the beaches were closed here in...
Hi BillN,
I think you'll need the taller crowns as fitted to the later Super Dive/ Divette. Excuse the poor photo quality, but I've pictured NOS crowns next to a Super Dive which I think has the same crown as your Divette.
I measured with a Vernier and got the following:
Tall crown: 6.13 mm...
I'll keep my list short, and limited to Enicar as I collect other brands as well:
1. Sherpa Super Dive black dial - luckily I already own one
2. Sherpa Jet Mk 1 or 2 - I've got NOS case and hands and hope one day to find a dial
3. Sherpa Super Jet Mk 1, white dial
I could add a number of other...
Hello everyone,
I'm pleased to see a dedicated forum for Enicar. I've got a Super Dive (old picture, I'll post another one soon). I bought it here in Australia - it had been laid-up for many years as the oil in the movement had dried up. It's had a service and works fine now.
