If my Jet is anything to go by, the date change starts early and lazily makes its way over until midnight, see comparable photo below. So on the assumption the OP's watch was approaching midnight (24hr hand tells me it was), then it may well be normal.

Very kind, the service was on the movement only, no refurbishment that I am aware of, the rest is as it came from the factory :) I really could do with a beads of rice bracelet, really looks good on the Jet!

My Sherpa Jet arrived back from service yesterday, won't be wearing anything else for a while!
